i am in the middle of a deal with him from mid-May and haven't heard from him since (May 24th was the last PM sent from him).

wow thats not like him. i know he has a job that sends him to the frozen tondra for months at a time .

yeah...i didn't expect any issues with the transaction. basically, we were cross-shipping (my item for his $$$). i used USPS Priority to ship to Canada and they said it would be 4-5 days to get there typically. i had a message back from him saying the payment was being mailed out late...and then nothing since.
i emailed him at his hotmail account listed under his profile a few days ago and haven't heard back. i wouldn't normally be that concerned, but it was a fairly significant amount of $$$.
hopefully he is ok and there is just something that has tied him up.

not sure if anyone is still looking at this thread...but i just tracked the package and it was indeed delivered. i have to say i'm nearing the point of irritation and will unfortunately have to begin investigating local contact means, etc. i hope he is ok, but even if he was taken away due to work, i would expect the other party involved to ensure everything went smoothly.
if anyone has more contact info for him (other than address), please let me know via PM. if not, i'll need to make some calls to the local area he is in to begin the search.

I just went back home for a 3 week visit and his mom was at my house and never said anything bad happened, so I am about 99% sure he's ok 
He's probably just swamped workin in Alberta right now, so just be patient

update...i tried calling his parents and the number just rings and rings...no voicemail...nothing.
still no word from him. unfortunately, i'm tired of waiting and will be reporting the phone stolen and have the IMEI number blacklisted (if that even does any good internationally on a potentially hacked iphone by now), contact the local authorities, etc. amazing.
net result: i'm out the phone, international shipping, and the money i paid to buy it from a friend.

thanks demrok...anything you can find out is appreciated. i'm learning a lot about international shipments and tracking processes, that's for sure. the USPS confirmed that the tracking information is door-to-door for this, not just to Customs somewhere. he will be getting a visit from a USPS inspector at some point soon.

That is funny, never seen a USPS package ever have tracking to the door in Canada. I even had USPS people say you can't even track it to the border...
