Florida to Castrate Trucks

The Florida Senate on Thursday passed an amendment to impose a $60 fine on Truck Nutz, one brand name for the novelty item on vehicle trailer hitches that resemble the dangling southern end of a northbound bull.
The proposal would make displaying bull genitalia reproductions on a vehicle subject to a $60 fine, moving violations and points against a driver license.
The penalties were proposed by Sen. Carey Baker, R-Eustis.
Sen. Jim King, R-Jacksonville, said he had a set on one of his vehicles, which he described as "all pimped out." They are no more than "an expression of truckliness," he said, although he'd acceded to his wife's request to take them off.
"I find it shocking we'd tell people with metallic testicles on their bumpers that this is a violation," said Sen. Steve Geller, D-Hallandale. "There's got to be better things for us to spend time debating."
Geller suggested this ban might be followed by prohibiting silhouettes of nude women on truck mud flaps.
"We're basically going to have the bumper police," King said.
"All their concerns are legitimate," Baker said of the critics. "And I do have more important things to do this session. But I think this is important, too."
The transportation bill was debated Thursday, and a vote is expected next week. The House version, however, doesn't include the prohibition.

I always thought it was a stupid idea; but that's my opinion. However, I think a ban is a little overboard.

I think this has to be about the biggest waste of time and money that i have heard about recently involving our government. Yes, the things are stupid, but are they offensive enough that they should be banned? I do not believe so.
And for those of you that dont know what they are, they resemble this and just hang underneath your truck.

The very first time I saw them, I did a double take. After that, I don't even give them a second thought. I've actually seen very few of these in Ohio.
I feel bad for the cops that have to enforce this. It's not like they don't have enough to do already.

I think they're funny, I always laugh when I see them.. But hell, they gonna start castrating dogs that you walk in the park too? WTF?! Stupid.

When I see them I think the owner is just begging for some attention. He is unable to attract any himself, so he does something to his vehicle to get attention. Just lame.
But, I don't think we need a new law for attention whores.

I guess my biggest concern is whats next? If they start enforcing things that we put on our cars then when will they do the same for things we have in our house, or even what we wear on our clothes. Dont get me wrong, i think they are the dumbest things ever, but if they start here where do they stop?

Trust me, it'll never be enforced. I know plenty of cops who say they'll never write a ticket for it.

Bah I have a set on Bertha My 78 IHC Scout II they are orange and I enjoy them. As for needing to draw attention or whatever to myself I think i do that just fine without them. I am only 6'8" and 270lbs and wear a day glow grren t shirt to work everyday where I drive a truck with a flashing orange light on top or a huge piece of yellow iron.

They said they would ban reproductions, not the real ones... SO, now you will have people with real balls on instead of reproductions.
