I don't understand it at all. I go there today to drop some stuff off in a Windsor Post office. The people are friendly, the staff is compitant, the place is SPOTLESS. Stop for gas, even the bathroom on this place is spotless, the attendant comes out and is checking the air preasure in my tires (of course I dont' think he had much else to do), and is extremely friendly. Traffic is slow moving, but yet people are nice enough to not kill each other, run each other off the road, or cause an accident. I just don't understand how they're like that, and you cross the Detroit river back to the good old USA, and we have gang makings on everything, roaving gangs of people that you don't want look at the wrong way, and people are just rude to each other. I'd much rather live in a place like that, and raise a family there. You guys in that area are LUCKY to say the least.

Makes me soooooooooooo home sick! Head down south , everyone waves as you pass by and if you happen to get a flat tire a dozen or more people stop to help, or wait with you if you have called someone already! Most have their deer rifle in the window of an old pickup truck[ in case of a rabid deer needs killin' ]
beer in the cooler with the inner tube in the back in case the weathers good enough to go to the creek
:chug and they are all willing to take you along if'n ya wanna' go

When I worked down in traffic alot of the truck drivers we had were from Genmar out of Canada. They were all a great bunch of people. I hope they never change. we need more humanity in the human race

I noticed the same thing when I came to Detroit and then Windsor for a visit. The reason is that Detroit is.....well how can I say this nicely......A $hit HOLE!

Going to Canada was almost like going back in time. Another thing I noticed about Canada is many people there are like 4 feet tall...or is it just me? :D

Everyone is 4 feet tall? My gawd son you've found the munchkins!! The Land of Oz must be close by! :)

Only place I've been where everyone was truly nice and pleasant was Hawaii. Never been to Canada but I've known several from there and all were very nice cool people.

Well that was interesting reading all those posts. I live in Canada, born and raised here. Most my relatives have moved to the US many many years ago. The comment from them now is "Canada is a nice place to visit but wouldnt want to live there"? I suppose a few of the reasons would be the temperatures and the taxes! Gas around $3+ a gallon and a pack of smokes almost $7. Ah I guess I shouldnt bitch, this is home and it has been very good to me. Now if we could only get rid of those nasty -30 degree temps! hehe

Yep we got it pretty good here in Canada, we live like Americans but with less crime and more snow... :)

I dunno about that 4 feet tall thing tho, I'm 6'2", but then again most of the people I know here are shorter than me, so...

I remember working at a wedding chapel in nevada and we got people from all over the country and the world. The loudest were always from Texas, the nicest were from Sweden and by far the rudest most arrogant people were always and I mean always from New York! It was always predictable.

Not saying everyone from NY is rude of course. Just most :lol All that traffic and people I'm sure gets them that way.
