You know what I'm thinking, and you know how 2003 was.... maybe we should do another one? Chicago, Down south, wherever.... just wanted to get the idea out....
Remember, I got this one lovely server just sitting here doing nothing.

I'll be in Chicago again on September 30th through October 3rd for our Abbott Metrology conference that starts Sunday night. I'll be staying at the Deer Path Inn in Lake Forest. This time, I'll be my myself so I would like to meet some of you guys since I won't have the wife or child to interfere in my plans. LMK

I was just looking for any info for a PCALAN for this year again just now.
I really loved it the 2 years I went up at Chicago, and so did the daughter. She was just asking me about it again the other day if there was going to be one this year or if it's overwith and and no more to come.
We're not that much into the games really, heck I didn't even take a system either year. First year something happened forgot what and second year I came in from Ohio instead of home so I didn't have one with me.
But it was a great weekend camping trip full of fun, meeting great people, bond fire, etc.. and the Dogs were good too.
Both years were a great time.

Ive been hosting LANs since 1998 here in Lubbock although the past 2 years have been slow.
With some help (Im sure I could find some
) I could get something going.
Hotel or Barn ... in the middle of nowhere West Texas.

Yah, but if it's gonna be down south it's GOT to be when it's cooler unless there's A/C in the barn.. Because we've got a snowballs chance in hell of running PCs in a barn without it..

Depending on size.. the store has AC.. and it KICKS ASS!!..
Ohh and between Midnight Sin. and Rubber Duckie.. they know enough ppl.. and places.. and.. I'll donate my living room floor.. and couch.. and.. depending on where I end up sleeping. maybe MY bed.. cause I hope to be in HER bed..

No way the store has room for a good size LAN. We would need to find a good unit with proper power.

Yah, if it's going to live up to PCALAN you'd have to have a LOT of power. We had over 60 PCs at the last one that I was at.. And like 5 of them were Greg's alone.. lol.. Then Pugsley had a portable rackmount loaded with crap lol..
Pika and I & His lady at the time shared a table and had a blast issuing DOS attacks on some asshat that kept disconnecting his cable during a game of Battlefield.. MWA HA HA!!!
Greg also had power problems at first and there had to be some accomodations made, dont' remember exactly what happened though..
If there is enough timing/notice ahead of time I would be willing to help out in any way possible. Would be fun to see some old school gaming action come into play too.. i.e. Starcraft & such...
