Another accident

My brother was driving a harley and the other was driving a semi. The semi won. :(

He (truck driver) ran the light and over my brothers left foot. He's alive, no head injuries thanks to wearing a helmet and as he tried to avoid the truck at the last he avoided potential total disaster in not getting completely ran over. But, 2 broken bones stuck out of his lower leg and his foot crushed. Dangled and wrapped in a coat. Minor contusions elsewhere.

Had one surgury last night to pin the broken bones and to clean out the leg and foot. Another in the morning where they'll determine tissue damage and if it's bad enough, will amputate his foot, but right below his knee. If the tissue looks like it's alive or with potential to heal they said they may wait on the amputation or not do it. But it can't be done unless he signs for permision. They said if the damage is bad enough and with dead tissue, leaving it could cause real bad infection along with certain amputation and higher up. What a decision. whew!

Anyway, he is alive. But in bad pain and down.

Well, I'm glad he's alive blade, it's sad that some 18 wheeler drivers don't pay more attention in those big things...

My condolences Blade. He is in a tough spot, but it seems he's lucky to be alive. I hope he recovers fully and gets to keep that foot...

My prayers are with you and your bro. My brother also rides and has tanked a few times. Damn that's scary!

On the bright side though, he's alive and basically ok!
