The legal limit in Michigan is 0.08 percent

Farmington Hills Police Chief William Dwyer said Thomas Keith Wellinger, 48, was speeding and had a blood-alcohol level of 0.43 percent when he smashed his GMC Yukon Denali into the back of a Honda Accord.

About 19 hours after the accident, Dwyer said Wellinger's blood-alcohol level was measured at 0.26 percent.

"I don't think, in the history of this department, we've ever had anyone that intoxicated," he said.

I've said this over and over again that drinking and driving is the most irresponsible thing a person can do. To endanger innocent people by driving drunk is absolutely disgusting. These people are the scum of the earth in my book. Makes me wanna vomit!

Vehicular homicide is a charge brought against people like that in Georgia. They are prosecuted heavily in GA and we rarely hear of any serious wrecks like that. And maybe that is a problem is that there isn't too much media attention when things happen. The media should take some action to show these things as being horrific and hope that it will maybe stop some people from doing it.

Even if its not Murder, I don't think it should be he wasn't planning on killing anyone, some who does this should get the death penalty. Maybe then idiots will think twice and if they don't we can get them off the earth and not have to worry about that particular person doing this ever again.

Mike, that happened right outside of my office where I work. I passed by that carnage about 3 minutes after the accident on my way back to work after a late lunch, prior to the arrival of the police/EMS. Morbid curiosity got the better of me (not knowing at the time of any fatalities) and I spied 2 bodies inside the black Honda. I wish I wouldn't have seen what I did.....I was instantly sick and went right back to the office, not knowing of the youngest child of that family clinging to life mere yards away in the driveway of the assisted living center.....I don't think I could have handled seeing that poor child.......I can't even type this.

This changes you, I hope there is a special place in hell waiting for that drunk asshole.

Even if its not Murder, I don't think it should be he wasn't planning on killing anyone,
you can be charged with 2nd-degree murder if you cause the death of a person while you are committing another felony. Thus, the charges fit this case.
some who does this should get the death penalty.
No death penalty in Michigan.
Mike, that happened right outside of my office where I work.
I got stuck in the traffic situation after they blocked the area off.
