tax time...what software (if any) do you use?

i've used Tax Act for the past few years...always been happy with it. i've also used kiplinger's Tax Cut and Turbo Tax one time...all are about the same to me.

i see that for $15.95 Tax Act does online Fed and State. seems like a fair deal to me. i've always used the downloaded/install version, but might give the online one a shot this time around. only concern is security/privacy, of course. i prefer not to store tax info online somewhere. :)

yup...all of them do an interview type format that asked you general questions like "do you own your own home?" and then get specific from there regarding property tax, etc. advanced forms are available in all of them for printing out as well, if you're into that.

this will be my first tax filing as a home owner, so i'm looking forward to it. haha
