I think what really is affecting everyone is that you can't just shrug this one off and say "Hey, it's a 3rd world country - things like this happen over there. They have no infrastructure, no decent roads, no emergency services."
These weren't just peasants living in shacks, there were wealthy nations affected as well. Expensive neighborhoods, people dressed like you and me driving nice cars with nice homes. Families were drowned in their own homes, while shopping at the mall, while walking on the beach.
I look at that photo above and it could just as easily be Miami Beach or Daytona.

Is it just me or is this photo either really bad quality or does it seem that a few of those bodies are 'shopped' in there... Now come on Im not being devilishly hateful or anything I believe this was a tragedy and all but Ogrish.com sometimes puts's around with shit in my opinion....
Anyways, i feel sorry for those who were first hand in this and hope all the better for anyone who survived and their families.
