dunno what OS ur running, but 2 hide DT icons:
for WinXP: ~
1. Right-click on any empty area of desktop
2. Click on "Arrange Icons By" (you will see a tick next to "Show Desktop Icons")
3. Click on "Show Desktop Icons". Your icons will then immediately be hidden.
To return your icons to your desktop, follow steps 1-3. This will return the "tick" to "Show Desktop Icons" and your icons will reappear.
