I've done yahoo for about 5 years now and they still have a free version. Actually if we could generate enough interest we could set up a Yahoo private league for PCA. Post if you'd be interested in joining and if there is enough interest then I'll set one up.

You rank the players at their position . Then on draft day , the draft is done automatically (on free version) and you get the highest ranked player available your your draft turn comes up .
The season - You play head to head each week against someone else in the league . You score points based on your players stats from that weeks real games on Sunday . Say you have Aaron Brooks and he throws for 4 TDs and 458 yards and ni INTs , you did great ! But if you had Drew Henson and threw 0 TDs and 3 INTs , you don't score .
Same way with all your players . Total your teams score that week against the other league player you are matched up against that week and you eiter win or lose . You only play against 1 other team each week .
Here's a page from the league I formed for some local friends
We will be using Sports Buff's popular scoring method this year for the 2004 Fantasy Football Season. Points will be accumulated as follows:
Passing
TD 40+ yards = 6 points
TD 0-39 yards = 3 points
Every 20 yards = 1 point
2 point conversion = 1 point
Rushing/Receiving
TD 40+ yards = 9 points
TD 0-39 yards = 6 points
Every 20 yards = 2 points
2 point conversion = 2 points
Each reception = 1 point
Kicking
FG 50+ yards = 9 points
FG 40+ yards = 6 points
FG 0-39 yards = 3 points
PAT = 1 point
Defense/Special Teams
Zero Points Scored Against, a "Defensive Shutout" = 10 points
2 to 9 Points Scored Against = 5 points
Defense TD 40+ yards = 9 points
Defense TD 0-39 yards = 6 points
Kick/Punt Return TD 40+ yards = 9 points
Kick/Punt Return TD 0-39 yards = 6 points
Fumble recovery = 2 points
Interception = 2 points
Safety = 2 points
Sack = 1 point
Players DO receive credit for kick/punt return touchdowns, but NOT for kick/punt return yardage. Scoring is calculated based on TOTAL (NOT average) number of points each player earns in a week. If, for any reason, a player's game is postponed (due to weather, etc.) you will only receive points for that game if you have the player on your roster the day the game is officially completed.

Yeah , it would be OK . Honestly it would be really slow I think . It's not graphic intense , but very data base intense .
