I use 1.6a at home, usually the latest
release is pretty good to use. Stay away from nightly builds, as they are testing only. The 1.5 build is considered "stable."
Oh, and if you want a browser only without a lot of added fluff, take a look at
Firebird. It uses the same rendering engine as Mozilla, so web pages will look the same, but it strips out a lot of things like e-mail clients and the like. Be warned that Firebird is still pre-release (it is version 0.7, after all) so it can be a bit glitchy.
