Next version of Windows will be most irritating ever...

Heh...

The software shall "enhance the richness of the user experience" by ensuring that everyone has to spend several days searching for previous beloved functions or shortcuts that have now been renamed or completely deleted.
Christians warn us about the anti-christ for 2,000 years, and when he shows up, they buy a bible from him.

Isn't the new windows nicknamed Longhorn or some stupid thing like that? A buddy of mine was showing me some screens of it from MS site. Can't seem to find 'em now....

[edit]
Here's a page I found with google, it has some screens though they aren't hte same I saw from the MS site. I really wish MS would come up with something new instead of just pumping out a new OS...

http://www.etplanet.net/windows/longhornblackcomb/ You can just search google.com for "windows longhorn" and you'll come up with some pages.

There's really no need to come out with so many OSes so fast. Businesses sure as hell aren't going to upgrade that fast, no need, plus no budget. If something's good, why fix it? MS likes it, it sure as hell's a good money grab for them. Businesses and their employees who've been accustomed to Windows are tied down by the balls with their new licencing arrangements with MS, forced to upgrade every so and so years and all. Unless someone in IT takes a step forward and starts porting to OSes like linux.

And yes, imo, WinME was the worst OS to ever come out, as far as MS OSes goes.
Another money grab is the certs that goes along with the new product lines.

FP, funny article. Otherwise...
Blackcomb/Longhorn
The site is all mixed up here. Blackcomb was being developed in conjuction with Whistler (get it?), it was to be the SRV to the Pro/Home (similar to W2K). Blackcomb is but a memory, I believe they now call it .NET SRV (a reorg was required somewhere along this line). Longhorn is the desktop OS. MS doesn't give the same OS two different code names.
Screenshots (Could be real but unsure)
I believe that statement.

As far as I know these screenies are real:

http://www.infowarrior.org/longhorn/

If not, then somebody has a hell of a lot of time on their hands to fake those screens

I think that Longhorn is due 2004/2005, so it's got a ways before everyone gets to see it.
