Beta 8 FAQ
Q: Is Beta 8 still free?
A: YES!
Q: Why can't I see the shared files of users in my Hot List?
A: You can. To browse the shared files of a user in your Hot List, highlight the user name, click on the name with your right mouse button, and select "Browse Files." You can also initiate the browse function from the right-click menus available in the Search area, the Transfer area, and the Chat user list.
Q: Why have some of the terms changed in Beta 8?
A: With Beta 8, we've updated some of the terms we use in the Napster application. We've tried to give the Napster functions and areas names that more clearly explain how they work. If you're confused by anything you find, try checking out the appropriate section in the online manual for a detailed explanation.
Q: Anything new and cool in Beta 8 I should know about?
A: Yes. We've added an Exclude Option to Napster Search. Just use a minus sign (-) before any terms you would like to leave out of your search results. If you want to exclude more than one term, make sure to use the minus sign (-) before each of those terms.
We've also added a Rename function in the My Files area so you can change the names of your MP3 and WMA files from within Napster. Just right-click on a file name within the My Files area, select "Rename File," and then type in the new file name. (Notice that you do not need to retype the .MP3 or .WMA extension after the file name. The extension will be added automatically.)

I've been through the desert on a horse with no name
It felt good to be out of the rain
In the desert you can remember your name
'Cause there ain't no one for to give you no pain
La, la ...

I found that I like AudioGnome better than Napster. Being on a 56k modem, I'm able to limit my total upload to only 1 file. I'm also able to connect to any music server out there including the Napster servers. In fact, you can still use your Napster password and user name with this program.

Executioner, you can limit your uploads to a great big fat "0" if want to ! just put another great big fat "0" in the shared files/upload tab and it'll ask you if you really really want to do this .....hehehehe of course you do

Yeah I know I can, but I don't feel right doing it. I don't mind sharing my files, but I don't want 8 people trying to upload songs on my 56k modem.
I also like the other features of AudioGnome.
Simultaneous Multi-Server Access
· Multi-User Access with User Profile Support
· Upload and Download Limiting
· Upload Bandwidth Limiting
· Mp3, WMF and WAV Support
· ‘nap’ style, Private and IRC chat
· Internal Message Board Access
· Internal FAQ Access
· 24hr Live Tech Support
· DOWNLOAD RESUMING!!!
