The thermometer on the patio read 84 degrees today it was sunny and beutiful. My kids were riding their bikes in shorts and sandals. I was raised in Colorado but I don't think I ever want to go back there and put up with the snow and cold I think I will just deal with the smog and sun here

LOL, it was 84 also here in Hemet, CA. My little one was playing outside in shorts and no shoes. My older son was in a swim meet all day. The first day of winter is the 21st of December, but it feels like spring with clear skies and warm days.

Yesterday I played ultimate frisbee in a park in San Jose. Today I barbequed tri-tip steaks in my shorts and T-shirt.

12 years living here, this is by far the hottest winter. Actually, when I first moved here, summer was in the high 80s. Place seems to get hotter each year. This doesn't worry anyone?

Dave, you suck. ;) We just got another 4 or 5 inches of snow last night, at least it warmed up to 0 degrees this weekend. It has been fro -15 to -25 Fahrenheit the last week or so over night and not getting much above -5 to -10 in the day, with 10 to 20 mile an hour winds that makes -30 to -70 or so wind chills.

Has anyone seen the Yahoo commercial? Where the guy in the Igloo orders a hot tub and bbq online from Yahoo?
It's hilarious.

This is just a good year, a couple of years ago the place was flooding with rain, I hate rain, even more than snow. I too was enjoying the nice sunny weather in the capital of CA.

It isn't always greener on the other side. In Santa Clara/Sunnyvale area, its getting a little colder but not bad at all. But rent is ridiculously expensive (around $2500 for a 2 bedroom apartment), traffic every freeway you enter and live is really fast paced here. Also, for those single guys out there, the men to women ration here is 3:1 so you can bet there are a lot of single guys out here (not me though...haha :D )

Hey pidge, you in Santa Clara area? Me too. I think I once knew that but forgot. You know anyone around here who's into LAN parties? My friends have dropped out of gaming lately and left me high and dry.

I used to love the cold and snow. If it were in the high 70's all year long with one quick snowfall, I'd be in heaven. :)
