Under the guise of a computer security measure, Sens. Fritz Hollings and Ted Stevens have sponsored a bill that would mandate the installation of spyware on all PC's that would attempt to collect information on the existence of non-copyright material stored in the machine.

Please note that this bill was introduced on August 6 and was not related to Sept. 11.
Write your Senator and speak out against this proposal. It's your country, even if you don't have the wherewithal to purchase sponsors like Stevens and Hollings with campaign contributions. Do it. Nothing gets the attention of an elected representative like the thought of losing a constituent vote.
Take advantage of the fact that you don't live in a colony like I do.
