Well, with the economy being so weak, I was wondering who is still planning on getting a new gaming system?

My sitution is BOTH of the last two.....while I have a great system that is perfect for games, I can't be buying any(more) games since money is too tight.

Nah. I practically gave away my PS1 because I wasn't playing it anymore, and nothing I've seen on the PS2 or Xbox demos really impresses me. there's shit running on the Xbox that looks like it could be done as well or better on a PC (with a Geforce3 of course).

I might eventually get an xbox... but not now. I played around with the gameboy advance that greg got and that thing's screen just blows total chunks.... what a POS.

I finally got a Light for the GBA and now it is mostly usable. but yes the scream is pritty pathetic. you have to find the perfect spot to see it and that spot isnt very big and takes about 25 min to find it...and Heven forbid you Move. I am More then happy with the DC still and my PC of course. and the GBA is for the car.

Already have a GBA(love it BTW)and am getting a Gamecube this Sunday.Not interested in the Xbox one bit.If I buy another console it will be a PS2 when/if prices go down.

I know somebody is gonna jump in and say Nintendo is kiddy so I'd like to say in advance,kiss my ass.I have been playing consoles since the Atari 2600 days(arcade kid before that)and judge games and systems by fun factor not by whats trendy and cool.

Nintendo isn't kiddy... it just plain sucks.

I WAS thinking about getting an XBox, but:

1. I have a DC that I've hardly touched and I've got a lot of good games for.

2. I SUCK at console games! I can't get out of the training level of Jet Grind Radio, which tells you how lame I am. Mouse and keyboard!! Must...have...mouse & keyboard.

3. The only games that interest me are DOA3 and Halo. I'm betting that Halo will get ported to the PC within 6 months, so I dunno about getting the XBox.

It's cost me ~$450 to buy a console, 2nd controller and a couple of games and tax. I'd rather get a nForce and an AXP 2000+ for the same amount of cash, ya dig?

How did you come to that conclusion Kakarot?Is there any reasoning behind it or are you just blindly stating an opinion?

I'd be interested to know if you have even played a Gamecube or Xbox kiosk(if you can find a Xbox kiosk working that is).

well I played a football game on the Xbox the other day for about an hour at best buy. it was fun but It wasnt anything that would make me buy it. let alone Think about buying it.

PC Games for me. I have three generations of Nintendo and they just collect dust.

i actually play my DC alot, but only NBA2k2 and NFL2k2, and so far the sports games on the new consoles aren't any better

infact, these 2 absolutely destroy most other sports games out there

nba2k2 is for sure the best i've ever played, but a case can be made against nfl2k2 (although that rocks as well)

all sega sports games will be avaiable on PS2 and Xbox from now on though right? but I totally agree. Sega sports cam into there own right again. they were out of it for a bit but are back i nthere Old school fasion.

I don't like sports games and driving games and games with cute characters running around picking stuff up and games that end with the word "Fantasy", so what does that leave for the consoles? Fighters and uh...fighters.

I want Halo on the PC and a DOA3 port, gawddammit!!! Thank you.

I'm not gettin' any of them... Way to pricey games cost to damn much and i've got a NES, SNES, and N64 sittin' here collecting dust that i play very seldom... Mostly savin' them so when my daughter gets older she's got something to play... Oh and i still got my Atari 2600.. I actually play that more than any of the nintendo stuff

I got one from Wal-Mart tonight and get to pick the other up from EB tomorrow.

Probably get a GC once more games worth getting come out for it.
