I saw it before all of you! :p The perks of workin' at a movie theater. It does look awsome though. I can't get over the effects. They are more real than TPM. I hope the movie starts pickin' up from here. The convention is also in Indy, so I'll check that out this spring :D

What a worthless trailer! As if the title wasn't dumb enough (sounds like some bad sci-fi movie from the 70s), I think I could have drawn those pictures in an hour. Sheesh. More crap to milk the Star Wars-mania from Lucas.

Gee...and I thought the "Lucas is SUCK!" peeps were exclusively over at the Talk-Back forums at Aint It Cool.

There's nothing wrong with the title unless you are so dull and unimaginative that you can't enjoy old-time Saturday pay-afternoon serials like Flash Gordon with it's wacky episode titles. The moment the Ming-style viewscreen effect occured in the beginning of Phantom Menance, I totally got what Lucas was up to and went along for the ride. C'mon, how dumb a title is "The Empire Strikes Back", but that turned out OK, right? You'll notice that the "EPISODE II" is way bigger that the subtitle. It's not a movie-killer, unless you WANT it to be.

Unless YOU can make a better movie, maybe you should save your money, stay home and watch "Gladiator" for the 1,953th time and let the rest of us have our fun, mmmkay?

EDIT

Why does s-a-t-u-r-d-a-y turn into that mess above?!?

Attack of the clones....
Makes sence to me...after all it is refering to the "Storm Troopers" who are all clones and .... let me guess they are attacking.
Im looking forward to the movie...but after all I remember being a little boy waiting in line to see what we all know as "Star Wars"....which of course is really "A new Hope" <--- Hows that for a first movie ?
And it turned out to be AWESOME :P

Also it was a teaser....NOT a trailer. When the Trailer is released you will get more.

BTW: anyone have the downloadable large Quicktime version?

Actually, aren't the clones Jedi-clones? At least that is what I thought...

I, for one, think the title is no sillier than:
A New Hope
The Empire Strikes Back
or
Return of the Jedi

Those are all cheesey as hell. Star Wars is fun, not serious. Luke is a whiney little bitch, Han is macho in a Tom-Jones way, and the music is as korny as it gets (come on Williams... how many trumpet flares can you use?).

Attack of the Clones threw me back at first, but after awhile it grew on me... GL has guts to stick with a title that most people don't like - I just wish he'd fix that Greedo shoots first thing.... Now that does suck...

I remember first the first time I saw Star Wars and it was at the Drive-In, secondrun, because my folks were short on money for me to see it the first time... I hope GL sees the light when it comes to the DVD's, but I'm not holding out any hope...

Yes they are. From what I understand, Episode II and possibly III as well will show Star Wars fans what went down during the Clone Wars. Remember, in the original movies Yoda, Vader, Luke and the Emperor were the only Jedi left in the galaxy after the Clone Wars had been fought.

Now I will admit that the teaser leaves alot to be desired no doubt, but I think the movie will be better than the first at least.

In time, you too will understand what I do.
