Abolsutely sick... and demented

Post by Executioner »

Sick Bastard's Site

What would compel someone to create a game mod based on Columbine?

Not only does this mod lack taste, if the media catches wind of it this is just the type of push censorship supporters in the senate need to give that final push. Freedom of speech is great, but this just crosses the line.

So, a petition has been put up giving the mod creaters a message that we, the Gaming community, especially the Half-Life community, do not WANT this mod. You can sign it at:

people say kids shoot up schools in real life because of videogames
now videogame copies real life, what a strange twist

i still think that this mod is pretty f*cked up though

Sick indeed. Now kids can emulate a real act of violence.

On the lighter note, I found a link to some kitty porn at the bottom of the page:

Wow.

I am not Mr. Sensitive or anything, but geez. That is just totally inappropriate. It is his right to do it, I guess. This will just fuel all the Tipper Gores out there who think media and games cause kids to to stupid stuff.

This will make headlines, if the news media catches wind.

OMFG, which kind of person would make a game about this terrible event. I enjoy games as much as the next Joe but this has crossed the line.....

Hopefully it never comes into being.

Its just a game man.. And its also just some dude that is looking for attention. Guess what? I just viewed the site. I would have never viewed it if this thread wasn't started. Remember when Napster went public? It gined popularity big time. If we just ignor this prick head, he'll go away, and nobody will ever play his lame ass mod.

Yeah, it's not so much the fact he's making it (I'm sure people have made worse) it's the fact that it makes the gaming community look bad it and it ever does get any big publicity, then what will we look like? I mean, I'd hate to have to show a license to buy DooM III but I can imagine it if stuff like this gets outta hand.

People that get driven to extremes are spurred by other people. Ddollar a doughnut those nutballs were outcasts at school...who's to blame? No one mentioned the fact that those poor kids were probably tortured by their "peers".

not imply that it isn't immorall, but hell, I feel more pity for the poor squished squirrels I see on the road as they were just a case of unfortunate circumstance.
