It's a joke! The main reasons are:
1. Refining capacity
2. Demand here in the US

We have way too many people that commute long distances to go to work here in Southern California. Some drive over a 100 miles one way to work. These people clog the local roads trying to hit the nearest freeway. The Southern California freeways should be called parking lots.

i want them to raise gas prices...cuz then you will find an alternative or stop driving
let them raise the prices until they go broke and the local farmer can sell his corn squeezin's for 1.50 a gallon for the nice permaseal engines
