Version 1 of NetMeeting had way more features. And MS shut down their ILS servers back in 2000, so you either had to use public ILS servers, or use MSN Messenger integration (which eliminated pervs altogether).

GoogleTalk is more like version 2 of MSN Messenger, but with a few less features and not quite as pretty.

BTW, you guys heard that FleaBay was trying to buy Skype? It seems they've got 3 billion to burn...
