I have no idea if revision 2 even exists, it's primarily rumor from what I've seen...I haven't done extensive searching around for more info. If it does exist, I suppose anything with a manufacturer date of the last couple of months would probably be the best indicator.Originally posted by d_b
How do you tell if you have the revision 2 mouse?

...and why would it leave the surface
You'ld experience that with ANY mouse as they all need a surface to track. I simply never lift a mouse off the surface, not a problem.Grip mouse with hand, tilt wrist or raise arm. Especially easy to do in an intense firefight.
I've tryed testing its curser movement when lifted and it still moves the curser when lifted 1/4" off the surface. No mouse can do any better than that nor should anyone expect one too.
Also, I read through 10 pages of rambling comments in that thread, few were even closely related to actual MX 1000 users and I didn't see that complaint.
With any product, one will always find someone somewhere who doesn't like it so I'm not concerned if a few don't like theirs. I'm happy with mine and for me, that's all that matters.
