my daughter is 18 and i still keep her on a tight rope ! she did flip the finger at me once and she payed dearly for it -and i would do something of the same for you ! in her case she lost the use of her bike for a whole 6 weeks and she found her tennis shoes got a lot of extra wear that summer !but in you case the keyboard would be replaced with paper and pencil and maybe a coloring book except for homework that you would have to prove had to be done on the computer and all your book marks would be deleted ! and a timer setup so that you could not cheat ! :) or you would be forced to use the computer at the public library ! and find your own way there and back and pay for the copys if your library charges for them that you need to have them for school ! life sucks but being a parent is not all fun eather !
the Last time I was Talking to myself . I got into such a heated argument . that is why I swore I never talk to that guy again. you know what it worked now no buddy talking to me. :help

:argue ...you couldn't pay me enough to be a teen ager again!!!
everyone gets mad, usually the people you love get the worst of it unfortunately [ even in the ugggggggg adult world] finding a way to not hurt the ones you love even when you do not agree is a lifelong committment. In frustration, and for lack of a harsh enough word, we all have cussed , sometimes like a salior.
Sometimes all the soap and taking away things important to them only ads to the frustration.
When my little boy was about three and a half, he got so his favorite mimic word was f... :( I sure did not want him going to pre school proudly displaying his new found vocabulary so I tryed to talk to him about it; saving the big one for really special occassions , after all , like a pair of shoes if you use it too much they wear out, and then you have nothing to fall back on. That went along pretty good for a couple of weeks , no more foul language , cool........
A "Fred Sanford" rerun had been playing the night before. At 6 A.M. I felt this little body crawling up the foot of the bed, he stood up grabbed his chest, swayed for a moment and feel to the bed yelling :o f...
he climbed off the bed and said "OK I feel better now" and went in to watch cartoons.I don't know what he was dreaming about, but I was glad he left before I totally lost it :lol
well he never got kicked out of pre-school and turned out OK until he got to be a teenager and stress wanted to make him explode. He only used the big one for those extremely important cases [ being an Aries a bit hot temperpered ] but I think he is going to be alright.

I think if you mentioned it here, knowing that these guys would give you a harsh and open opinion [what your folks would have if they had caught you ] You wanted to be :w hip
and hopefully will think about the restraint that it takes to be "uggggg grown up" . Good luck , it isn't easy, or the most popular thing to do always, but it is the only game in town that will not get you killed.:fight

Vulgarity towards another is not meant to be used to express intelligence nor enlightenment. It's a quick and simple way to berate and offend someone, usually in a moment of anger or stress, and it's usually quite effective.

Not that I condone it (especially to a parent!), I like to keep my cussin to as much of a minimum as possible, but I think it happens to everyone.

Altho, when it becomes overused in normal converstion is when the person starts to sound like a baffoon. There is this guy at my workplace who uses the "F-word" after every 2 or 3 words, it's like it's the only adjective he knows. I can't stand being in the same room as the man, he's one of the most annoying people I know...

Geez guys!! I didn't mean that I disrespect my parents. I love my parents to death. Its not like I outright said F*CK YOU!!! all loud and LIke put my middlie finger in there face. I respect my elders very much. And I definetly respect my parents. I didn't mean it out of disrespect. I just never really pay attention. I am always around people who cuss and I never really pay attention to it anymore. I am not spoiled, but I do get alot of things, but I also work very hard.

Us 17 year olds are desensitized to swearing

I have a friend who worked at a warehouse during the summer, and afterwards every other word outta his mouth was a swear word.

He also got alot lazier and dropped outta calculus...he now works at loblaws and only takes 1 class

kinda sad actually :(

im a member of that generation more or less, take a look at 1 or 2 generations behind us (12-16 year olds) it's really really sad... morales and respect mean next to nothing to them, mind you there are always exceptions to the rule.. i fully intend my children to be exceptions to the rule to!!

Okie we forgive you Frost ;)
Cussing at school is big with some people... The word "sonuvabitch" is commonly used in a joking way, pretty much all of the standard words are in use too. I don't really mind people who cuss, unless it's all they say or it gets really derogatory (i.e., slandering/making fun of people).
It may seem that people have become densensitized only just now, but I don't think anything's really changed... The older generations probably just notice it more now than they did before.

Mad props frost. Stomping is better than swearing at your people.

Cussing is really effective, when used properly. I usually talk intelligently with proper grammer and articulation, and don't swear every other word. Thus, when I tell someone to F-off, it really hits home.

Funny how the coments seem to be split by how old we are the older ones blasting Frost's actions and the youhnger ones defending it.

I hardly think that the older generation didn't cus in their day. These days if you watch an action movie or meet up with someone in a bad nieghborhood every grandma will cus you out so bad you will be standing there with no comeback.
