I think I read about someone else doing that. Switching cards. Only I think they did it to BB or someplace.
I can't see it coming out of the box that way.

Well, GOT THE CARD back. the sticker is Extreamly tampered with on the Heatsink & the 4600 sticker FOund on the bios is also extreamly tampered with.....

sounds like someone tried to do the switcheroo hopefuly you haven't refunded his money yet... does the card look like it has been installed before... cause i know if i opened up something and it wasn't what it was suppose to be i wouldn't install it.

Yes, he sent me a gf3 back, the ones he sent me pics of. It jsut has a sticker from a 4600 on the bios (peled up in the corner) and a BFG sticker on the fan has 2 pieled up spots.

By the looks of the AGP connector, it's been used <img src=http://mywebpages.comcast.net/hipnotic_ ... es/sad.gif> It looks to me like in the second to the last picture, the edge has little virticle "lines" on each gold connector, which would represent where contact was while inserted in the AGP slot.

Good luck man. Honestly, I wouldn't refund the money right away. I would tell him to attempt to take it up with nvidia if it was, in fact, a sealed card. You could give him a copy of the receipt and everything. If he still can't get a new card from nvidia, then you definitly are in a tough situation (if it's not bad enough already).

I don't think BFG would stick a gf3 in a box with sticker that had been peeled off of something. The dude is sitting back and laughing right now cause he think's he's got a free GF4... then he's not even smart enough to peel the stickers off so that it isn't obvious. rookie scam artist... u can tell the card has been installed before if i was you i'd ship it back and tell him to get bent that you aren't that fucking stupid...

I agree w/HT that card has definately been installed in another system before. And I don't think there's any way in hell those stickers would have come from the factory peeled up like that.. Nope Nope.. I'd ship it back.. and in the words of the Soup Nazi... NO REFUND FOR YOU!

I say you keep the GF3 and the money, and tell him to enjoy the GF4. :D But, anyways, it sucks that this has to happen to such a good guy. Hope everything's sorted out Greg.
