Wow, I can't believe I won. This baby took quite a bit of work but I think it was worth it. So far it has been featured in two PC magazines (One Australian and one Columbian) and now it won an award for most technologically abused. Thanks for all the support!

Now to claim your prize you must donate $500 to our Hawaiian vacation fund.

:P

Congrats on being in those magazines too. :) You should be contacted shortly about shipping info.

Thanks, and please don't be a stranger here at PCA. :)

It's cool looking but I'm curious, is it a fully functional PC? If so, I'd have to think it's made up of laptop parts to be that small. Anyone here know?

Not that mine would have won and not to hammer the guy who won but you can just buy those PC's. For a site that's trying to appeal to high end PC modders I think you took a step backwards.

I was thinking the same. Though, maybe those were nascars that I saw... ...I can't remember to tell the truth.

There is a company that makes nascar versions but they aren't R/C cars... My version is a fully functional R/C car as well as a fully functional PC. All the parts are completely standard except for the power supply. The PSU is a 230W 1U (Rackmountable) power supply which we needed to get the CD-ROM to fit. The motherboard is an Epox KT-133M+, the video card is a generic geforce2 MX with 64mb of ram and video out. The nic is a D-Link 10/100 autosensing ethernet card. It has a sony 12x cdrw and a maxtor 20gb @7200rpm hard drive... The ram is a generic 512mb stick and the procesor is an athlon 1.0ghz.

If anyone has any more questions you can probably find the answer at http://www.rootaxs.com/rdmustang/index.htm

Just a couple of question for you...not meant as insults.

What did you do that is considered "modding" ??
Did you have to cut out parts ?? Any designing involve ??

Its a great idea that no one else thought of but if its just about openning up the car and mounting parts inside...I don't considered that "modding". Other people might think differently.

And can you plug on all your peripherals with the car intact or do you have to take the cover off ??

Like I said, its a very original idea but what type of "modding" was involve ??
