Most on this board haven't heard much from me lately... I've never been a frequent poster.
Been trying to spend a less time on the pc and get more into life.
Anyway, to get to the point...
I'm overwhelmed and can't help but say this.....
But I had heard that over in Buckingham Palace, during the changing of the guard today, you people, for the first time ever in history, took the time and played the Star Spangled Banner.
I had just now gotten to see it played on the news, and I just want to say how deeply moved I was by it. It was very excellent rendition and I was very choked up by it...... and to see the tears, and the look of concern on the faces of your people..... It spoke volumes... and I just wanted to say how much I appreciated that.
Thank you !

Glad to see you appreciate our support, we're all 100% behind you here.
I was watching a special service at St Paul's Cathedral in London yesterday and seeing everyone in there no matter what colour skin or what nationality sing your national anthem really brought a tear to my eye.
Incidentally that was the first time the Queen has ever sung any national anthem.

Our world shook
When it all went off, we were so shocked it stole my breath.........I was walking down a street in Bournemouth (south coast) and saw a croud at the window of a Sony Centre abnd it was English people watching it unfurl on screen in the window. We stood and watched, and people were silent......like TOTAL silence. And people looked poleaxed.......you lot over there are our best friends.
Alway have been.......the French are nearest, and we aren't that close at all, politically.
When it comes down to it, our government are with ya, and the people are 100% behind you all.
And when it comes to the Royals.........Queeny was gutted, and the Star Spangled Banner was the best way she could convey it. I was proud of that dsecision. AND SHE IS NOT A PUBLIC SINGER OF ANTHEMS so that is the top gesture.
We are saddened for you, gutted and shocked.........and our newspapers, some of the harshest bunch of Mofo's in thw world are with ya too!
KEEP YOU CHINS UP, STICK YOUR CHESTS OUT AND KICK SOME ASS
