Back in '92, I had a job that required a lot of walking (paintball referee) and I went thru a brutal breakup which knocked 10 pounds off me in the first week from the stress.

Well, I bottomed out at 175# (I'm 6'3") and jeans from high school were loose on me. It was great!

Then I got a driving job and my metabolism slooooooooooooooooowed down and I started to gain weight. Now, with my geek desk job, I'm up to 250# and HATING it every minute. :(

It was university that did it for me, too much drinking and fast food.
I managed to put on 60lbs in the 3 years that I was there went up from 160 to 220.
I graduated in July and since then I have been watching what I have been eating and exercising quite a bit and I have gone down to 205 lbs in a month and a half.
I'm 6'2 so it's not too big for my height but I still have a 36" waist that I want to get down to 32"

I too have lost about 35lbs and 5 pants sizes (from a 36 to a 31) since last february but I did it by taking these pills advertized on our local radio called "The body furnace" and sure, ephedrine is included but not the only ingredient in them. I'll admit that (because of them), I then also motivated to get back into daily exercising, cut down on snacks (especially highly coloric, fattening snacks) and never eat anything after dinner except dill pickles (can't eat too many of those :( ).
I've tryed other similar ephedrine related products that often had bad side effects like "Stacker2" (makes one feel generally nasty) but I felt best using The body furnace. Another product which is similar without bad effects is available locally in food stores or at Walgreens called "Diet Fuel".
My problem is always keeping it off as I like to eat more than I should and I can put on weight very easily. I've been up and down for most of my life. I have to stay away from foods that I like or at least eat little of those types (like Pizza, Ice cream) and exercise daily or it'll come right back again.
One thing I've never done (and won't) is to stop drinking beer nightly, nope. A guy's gotta have some pleasures in life.
