comments on the page say it was going 61 m/s .... didn't bother to do the math, but it is supposedly either around 150 m/h, or 135 m/h

just as supposedly... pro golfers can hit the ball around 130 m/h

but i suspect that the ball was a little warmed (possibly from the extreme amount of light needed for the exposure time) making it a bit more jelly-like


anyone feel like doing the math on this one? i'll just sit here and go wow

Wolfram Alpha says it's 136 MPH.

I don't doubt it at all. I've been watching that show on Discovery called "Time Warp" and an amazing number of seemingly firm objects deform a huge amount when struck.
