Well, you don't have to worry about the RAW problem with my hard drive anymore.... Basterb, the bastard, has taken it into his own hands....and "fixed" it with a vengence. Instead of fixing my problem, he has made it so much worse. Here take a look at what he did...
[align=center]<img src="http://www.geocities.com/demrok/image.jpg">[align=center]
[align=center]<img src="http://www.geocities.com/demrok/pic.jpg"> [align=center]

He put the hard drive in his comp and she blew with a thunderous roar, blowing a chunk off a chip of some sort...
So now, I need to know if anyone has a Fujitsu hard drive (5.4gig) that has sector problems or something wrong with the drive, not the circuitry...cuz I'll use the board from that in mine and maybe it will work... maybe?

WHY IN THE HELL DOES BAD STUFF HAPPEN TO GOOD PEOPLE??? :(
Someone PLEASE help me

Heh.. It would appear the circuit board has been removed from the drive and is now in you scanner? If so, I doubt you gettin your sh!t back!
I don't see that any circutry even existed there in that pic BTW. Was there something on the back side? Maybe Cap went off?
Hmmm.. Very strange indeed. Ive flipped an IDE before but the small amount of power that goes through them would not do that. (maybe burn a line) Even a flipped molex wounldn't do that..
I think you be pulling our leg here... !!

doesn't look like that was an explosion at all. It looks like there was an impact down on it. did you drop it, or drop something on it maybe. Or was it slammed into the case maybe? Cuz that just looks weird

As a PCA member I SWEAR TO GOD that it exploded
it sounded like a shock of HIGH voltage, you know the crack sound it makes when electricity jumps? well it did that, and BLEW that little chunk of the chip on the hard drive right off. That is the crater of where it blew off from on the left, and on the right, you can see a little crack forming beside/on the Cirrus Logic logo...well that spewed some sort of black resin... But it DID explode off of the drive...nobody dropped it, nobody hit it, nobody chiseled it... it blew...weirdest thing in the world...

and to take the board off of the hard drive is 3 screws and 2 push connectors (you slide a flat group of wires in and then push the connector in to secure them) So taking it off was no big deal...getting a new one to make my hard drive work again will be a task.... So if anyone has a broken 5.4 Fujitsu layin around, let me know

and again, i swear to all of you, upon my grandfathers grave, that it DID BLOW OFF THE CHIP !! it was a small explosion... and I still can't believe it...

Fire in the hole!!!!

How old is the drive???? If it's less than a couple of years you could try RMA'ing it...you never know they might send you a shiny new one depending on how long their standard "lifetime" is.

Or you could buy a similar drive and swap the circuit board over and take it back....not that I condone that sort of thing....
