As a person in college I voted yes and here is why. $4,500 is a lot of money for the majority of schools. For me, its not even a full semester of tuition, room and board. That amount of money, especially from the government, should not be given away to anybody who can write a good essay and have good grades. Community service should definately be involved.

I voted yes , because 40 hours of your time don't seem to much to ask , when you're getting $4,500 in return . It's pretty tough to find a job making $4500 a week :cool :

Plus , it's a freebie , give something back to the community ;)

I voted yes, if someone even the Govt is going to give you $4,500 they should be able to set what ever requirements they want. Not like they are holding a gun to your head making you take the $$$.

I voted yes, because that is a lot of money. I'm a college student, and I think that puting in 40 hours of your time at over $100 is a small price to pay for what it can get you.

it also beats the shit out of giving away money for free just because your a f*cking minority or a woman, but that's another tangent.
