this is just great -NOT

this winter is so bad here with , cold ,snow .sleet ,ice
here we all have ice dams on the edge of are roofs . and i like most have overhangs and gutter . well i just woke up to a nice puddle of water sitting in my bay window . and water dripping out the light socket in the center of it ! (all i can do is clean up the puddle of water. sitting on the stool of the window and put a waste basket in there to grab the water till the temp.fall or it stops dripping .)

today the temp is up to 34 degrees and its no 11am yet .
this is going to blow big time for a lot of people. besides me in the snow belt states I'm sure !
this is the first time this has happen to my own home . but i have done a lot of service calls before for this work .and there is not a thing you can do till the crap thaws !
only good thing here is i should have a ton of work again this spring with roof/drywall /paint repairs
but if its happening to you it sure blows ! now i got a real taste of what my clients feel like !
so it may not be a 100 bad thing .just 99.9 % of a bad thing ! :(

GOT TO LOVE WINTER AND ITS GLORY :(
the Last time I was Talking to myself . I got into such a heated argument . that is why I swore I never talk to that guy again. you know what it worked now no buddy talking to me. :help

it's just warm enough here that the ice damming is running off the roof - sposed to change to snow soon which should - home with 3 kids today who are out of their gourds with cabin fever

it will be cartoon network time if i can ever get them to finish their chores and quit squabbling

Thats why you install heat tape up and under the shingles so the ice won't form. Have it on our roof and never had a problem with the ice damming up.

We've got the heat wire to melt the snow/ice, and a roof shovel to clear the snow off.
Water inside house sucks.
