I mutilated Master of Puppets

Post by Hipnotic_Tranz »

heh, here's my attempt at Master of Puppets (not all of it, just the first minute or so). I rarely have the energy to do this song (downpicking ownz me  ) But every now and then I can pull it off "ok"

Well, of course every time I did it pretty good, I wouldn't be recording or someone would walk in and ruin it :mad Here it is tho....and yeah, I screw up in tons of parts, my pacing is off (too fast in parts), I skip shit...pretty much mutilate the song, but you guitar players might be interested, heh :)

Schecter C1 Elite & Marshall AVT20...The audio quality is shit because the recording volume was too high, that and the mic was in a bad position (hard to find a good spot to put it in). Like I said, it's pretty horrid, I've done better....seems like the first 10 minutes I'm good, not many mistakes, etc....after that I get tired & lazy, heh.

I need to start using a metronome to work on my timing.

Nice :cool : Don't think I've played with a guitar that has a floyd rose setup...all I know is that they're a bitch to string :) Yeah, I like my amp...I used to play through my PC....sheesh, I was so limited in the tone I could get...can't believe I stuck with it so long.

What kinda amp do you have now?

If we're gonna have a "Guitar Showoff" thread, check out this old PCA topic in which I listed my guitars. (Unfortunately, most of the image links are broken now.)

My latest addition (last March or so) is Kramer Baretta Infinity Sustainer Guitar that I got as a pre-endorsement deal, which will hopefully go larger when the new album is done. It's like this, but in Metallic Red:

It plays nice and is really beefy and ROCK sounding. The only thing it lacks is a really clean sound when turned down like my other Kramers, but for 85% of our live stuff, it's fine.

woops, I was kinda joking :o I was being ignorant and just figured your gibson was better than my marshall, hehe.....

Don't have anything to power it at the moment either, but thats not to say I couldn't find anything. How old is it? Got any pictures? I dunno, I might consider it. Would have to look into it a bit more though :)

Slowly, as usual. We haven't gotten together since the last show in the middle of June because of various schedule, vacation, injury and whatnot conflicts. We should be good and rusty next week.

We're getting ready to record some tracks for a compilation I'm co-producing and I'm trying to decide what the next record's gonna be like. I've already got this hot chick willing to be on the cover - now all I need is a record to put into it! Working title is "Caffeine & Annoyance", though I'm starting to like "Unreality Check" too. It'll work out, I'm sure.
