Oh, and if the New Posts link doesn't work on this BBS, screw you all.

I uploaded your Avatars, Evil, Los.
I'm fixing them all as I notice them.

Thanks! I totally forgot about that. :-(
Is there a setting where if you click on an external link, it will open in a new tab? The old board did that and I like it. Just a nice feature for some of us lazy bastards.
lol

Sadly there's no setting for it. They changed this behavior when they went from version 2.x to version 3.x. Looks like they did it for security reasons.
There's a complicated hack to fix that, and I'm terrified to try it. Maybe Genom feels braver.
The hassle is that it requires hacking each individual style.
Instructions here:
https://www.phpbb.com/support/docs/en/3 ... w-windows/
I also find it annoying, but I can live with it if I have to.
Looks like there's a LOT of demand for an extension to fix this, and there's a couple out there. There's an extension for 3.0 called Primelinks that can do it, but I don't see a version that supports PHPBB 3.1.
Maybe if you still have the testbed running on a VM, you can try out the hack above first if you can figure it out, Genom.
BTW: Just discovered something new: In Chrome or Firefox, clicking a link with the MIDDLE mouse button forces it to open in a new tab.

Also Ctrl+Left Click does the same.
But yeah, I can start hacking it into the styles if people really want.
*Edit: Yeach, checked and most of the new styles are children off prosilver, so only need to edit 2-3 bbcode files. No biggie, I'll knock it out tomorrow or some such.

I knew about the middle button but it's nice to not have to think about it. lol

Did the old forum have a 10kib limit on avatars? I can't remember if I was using the animated one or a static one.
I just checked it was the animated one and the old limits were 100x100 200kb

The defaults are: max avatar dimensions = 100x100, and max file size is 10240 bytes.
I increased the file size to 60,000 bytes and uploaded your old avatar.

Oh! Ok thanks. At first I was trying to upload it and was getting the too big error then i saw the limit and was like what?
Another thing that is kinda annoying right now is the thread title and the posted by lines on the top of every post. It's kinda redundant. Ill poke around in the settings and see if it is a user level thing.
Doesn't appear to be a setting that I can change. Its not urgent to work on this now as I know this is all new and things are still being settled in.

I f you're still using the default visual style I suggest you change it. That style is a little funky.

I set it to black first thing when I got here and its what I have been using. I tried the others but they are about the same. The anime one is better but for some reason looks like 4:3 on a 16:9 screen.
