There's another VERY funny SNL skit with Christopher Walken called the "Cowbell" skit. More info here: http://www.geekspeakweekly.com/cowbell/ I found the video on Kazaa as well (do a search for "Walken Cowbell"). It's 50Mb otherwise I'd post it on my server. It's a CLASSIC! :laugh

The light is used to light the desk surface so the CCD chip in the mouse can see the surface imperfections clearly (this is how it tells what direction you're moving). Other colors may not work as well since the CCD may be tuned to red light. You'll have to experiment. A lot is going to depend on th...

SNL - Kevin Spacey as Christopher Walken as Han Solo...

I was looking for a copy of that Fatboy Slim music video with Christopher Walken dancing on the walls in a luxury hotel lobby and Kazaa came up with some other funny clips. This is a CLASSIC. It's a skit from SNL with Kevin Spacey doing a HILARIOUS impersonation of Christopher Walken doing a screen ...

Unless it's the upgrade version of Win95 (and even then I don't think you need DOS installed, you just need the first Win 3.1 floppy handy) you don't need to install DOS first. Simplest way to do this is just boot with a Win98 Emergency Recovery floppy or the Win98 Install floppy or even boot with t...

I'm suing YOU d_b for that statement which is inflamatory and as a result has caused me permanent mental trauma.

I'm asking $200 in damages, but my lawyer advises me that in order to cover his fees and court costs we'll need to ask for 20 million dollars.... ;)

Well I just read up on Ghost 2003. While it does have a Windows front end, it still reboots into DOS (in the case of 2K & XP it loads it's own version of DOS) in order to actually perform the image operation. I guess this makes it easier to use for some people (I know a lot of people find Ghost ...

Can anyone suggest where I can sell some dead laptops?

I don't want to throw them in the trash, but I have a couple of nice lappies (a P2 Gateway and a P3 WinBook) with dead mobos. I'm sure the LCDs, DVDs, etc are worth something to someone but I don't want this stuff sitting in the garage for a year. Anyone know of a forum that's specifically for selli...

So you're sharing from an ME box? When you setup the share you just enter a password under "Full Access". You then need to access the shared drive at least ONCE from Windows from the other computer because the first time you do it will prompt you for a password (if you do it from DOS you'l...

What OS are you running? That'll make a big difference. Let me see if I understand: You want to be cable to copy files from one computer to another on your network, but you plan on using the same computers at a LAN party and are worried about allowing full access, right? The best thing to do is to u...

If you already have a router with more than one port on it then you just need an Access point. No point spending money on a Router/AP unless you would also like to replace your router. You'll also need a Wireless 802.11 NIC for the 2nd computer. I recommend leaving the main computer connected direct...
