Declaration of Homestead
I recently moved to a new house, and today I received a letter, probably from a lawyer group, on declaring my home a "homestead" for $30. They go on to say: A property recorded Homestead will help to shield a certain amount of the equity you have in your home for satisfaction of several ty...

What about the free pcabusers.net email?
The AnandTech faq says nothing about that.

I had the same problem with my wife's pc last month. I thought it was the video card, but even swapping it with another card did the same thing. So then I installed a PCI video card I had laying around and it worked. So I guess the AGP slot quit working. I trashed the mobo as it was an old Abit LX6.

What's the deal with Anand's Forums and Yahoo?
Because of all the spam, I finally got another new email account with my new Verizon DSL connection. I'm very reluctant in giving this email out to just anyone, including forum boards. So I created a free Yahoo email account for all activity on the net. Every board that I belong to accepted it with ...

Well, thanks for all the replies. I discovered from an email that I sent to the AVG technical support that they will be charging in the near future. Here is what they said: We will be coming out with version 7.0 late May of this year. Paid registered users of version 6.0 only are entitled to a free ...

That is what I use: 512 megs of ram running win2k pro. You will get slightly better performance with Win2k because it won't have all that bloat that XP has, according to several experts that encode DvD's. I did a clean install of Win2k with SP3 and nothing else. It's bare bones setup with only all m...

Anti Virus software
Since I finally have DSL, I want to install a decent AV software. I currently have Norton AV 2001, but it seems like the viruses target Norton. What options do I have? I've seen this one before, but don't know how good it is: http://www.grisoft.com/html/us_index.htm?session=e3c0451ddd4e93bc64cf693ac...
