Beer thread.....

Okay, time to talk beer. In Miami we had some great import beer places where I enjoyed lots of off the wall stuff. I lost my taste for watery American beer 12 years ago. I love Guiness Stout, Bass, harp, Warsteiner, Fosters (only in the "Oil can" thank you), Here's some of my more UNUSUAL ...

Can't stand the voice over net stuff. I disabled it in CS and disabled it in DOD. Unless you're playing with a group of mature people you know excercising voice discipline, it's worthless. Also, it rather destroys the suspension of believe when half my team sound like 14 year olds with cracking voic...

First of all Futjistu drives are JUNK (my opinion, but ask around - there's a reason why they're so cheap and have the shortest warranty period in the business). I wouldn't use one for a doorstop, and I certainly wouldn't trust important data on it. In the IT business I've seen these drives fail FAR...

Hehe... "camper" skins were no problem for me (and to be truthful THAT is not a camper skin. Camper skins were BLACK with very little else in them). I'd go through them regularly and just replaced them with a neon skin I made with a big bullseye on it - serves them right. :)

The software CAN'T be a PPPOE dialer - it's a router not a modem. PPPOE should be self contained. I have to assume the software is just a managenent program to control, setup & monitor the router. The only Cisco router I've ever used was an ISDN and it also had a monitor & control program. I...

Yopu shouldn't need to install ANY software. Like the Linksys, there should be a way to communicate with the Admin control panel on the Cisco probably via an IP port address or possibly via a serial port on the router - which means you need to use a terminal emulator or else they'll give you some co...

TWEAKUI will NEVER ask for your 98 disk. Dunno WHAT you guys tried to install.

I've literally installed TweakUI on dozens of systems.

You installing it properly? You need to right click on the TweakUI INF file and select "Install"

Make sure you download the latest version.

I couldn't care less what they track. If you guys think that this is an invasion of privacy - I'd hate to tell you what REALLY goes on.... My concern, however, is that this will degrade the quality of the network. AOL SUCKS as everyone knows, and one of the reasons it SUCKS is because they cache web...

HEY EVILHORACE!! Remember your scene in my Quake Screen Saver? Hehe...

Just had someone email me asking me for a good link to download my old Unofficial Quake Screen Saver . Seems all the links on the website are dead (well sheesh, haven't even LOOKED at the web site in 3 years....) So I do a quick search on Google and am pleasantly suprised to find that there's still ...

$150 for tires and mounting. Rims are dinged but usable (don't care - it's my high mileage ride).

Could have been worse I suppose - 1/2 mile back and I would have wrapped it around a tree. Dang trees are RIGHT UP AGAINST THE ROAD in some places.

The Cisco is a combo modem & router correct? The Cisco probably will be the better router.

I'd disable DHCP on the Linksys and just use it as a Wireless access point only. It's also a LOT easier to setup the network if the Cisco is acting as the DHCP server.
