My first computer was an old Tandy, but I don't remember the exact model number. It had an external tape drive to save your programs. Came with a whopping 16k of ram. I think that was in the very early 80's. The next pc was an IBM clone with 2 5¼ inch floppy drives. Cost - $2000. Yep - no hard drive...

My wife and I just came back from seeing it, and I thought it was damn good. I already have the other previous 2 DVDs, so I'll be getting this one. The special effects were excellent, specially when the terminator x got stuck on the particle beam because of the magnetic field. Arnold looks great for...

I have a dually, but I use it for encoding movies. The cpu's are slow by today standards, as they are 2 PIII-550MHz cpu's, but it reduces the amount of encoding time when copying movies. On a single PIII-550MHz cpu, the encoding would take 10+ hours, but with 2 of them there, it's less than 5 hours ...

What I would do is pull the mobo out (yeah again) and place it on a piece of cardboard. Connect only the ram, video card, and power supply. You don't need a drive for it to boot to the bios. Using a small screwdriver, you can temporarily shot circuit the pins on the mobo to power it up. This should ...

I don't blame the artist, but the RIAA who wants to line their fat pockets with more of your money. They are so against technology, and would rather sue their customers, who in all honesty, probably have the album. This is going to result in law suits by customers against the RIAA they target legal ...

What I like about the one I use, Registry First Aid, is it will give you the option of compacting the regristy when it's done removing invalid entries. I could not believe the first time I ran it, because it found 600+ items that were invalid. Normally to compact the registry, you had to save it as ...

The easiest solution to this would be to make everyone wear a uniform. This would allow students to pay attention to their studies, and not on the latest fashion or political statement for the week. I know that would suck, but it would also solve problems with gangs that like to wear their colors to...
