Re: Moto X Pure

It's unlocked. Currently it is not getting the monthly updates like a Nexus does, but since December, they did the 6.0 update and there have been 2 security updates in the last 4 months. So not as fast as Nexus updates, but still so far decent. That said, it's still 6.0, not 6.0.1 like the nexus dev...

Re: Helping wife track down an item at local Bed Bath & Beyond stores

I'll check the one near my office tomorrow, even though the website says they are out of stock. I'll post back if I find it.

Re: Polymagnets

I think he is right. The implications of what can be done with this sort of production method are going to be astounding. Just think about printed maglev tracks, eliminating the cooling tech needed? Scale that down to regular roadways. With total control of the field alignment like this I think it's...

Daredevil S2

Missed it a few days ago, but it launched on Netflix. If you havent watched the show yet, I would recommend it. I am almost done with the S2 binge, but it's been just as good and interesting as S1 was. While it is not strictly kosher to the million comic stories (of course), it is very well written ...

Re: A history of the Amiga, part 9: The Video Toaster

I still have the original VHS demo tape for that thing in a box somewhere. Actually think I have all the VHS's saved somewhere. I owned the second Toaster to come to mexico, and for me it was a Lightwave 3D dongle basically since by then I had stopped doing video and was into 3D. That sucker made me...

Re: The Price for $15-$20/hr Fast Food Employees

Well, it wasnt Obama who made that choice, it was the companies that make the hardware.

And really, you think the minimum wage hike is the cause for robotic stores? apparently you've missed the growing self checkouts at most stores the last few years?
