Ordered an outdoor Turkey Fryer...

The fryer was only ~$40.00 from Bass Pro Shops. Comes with thermometer and other items. My thinking was that I may fry up a turkey or two at work sometime next week for lunch for anyone who wants to eat some of it. Anyways, anyone here ever fried a turkey? Any tips/pointers you have? I've been Linux for some time now... now I can't say I strictly use Linux, or use Linux more often for that matter... but the variety of things one can do with Linux in itself makes it more than useful! Let alone, when I do my research surges in linux stuff I more often than not find things/programs...
