Re: I'm done with Acronis
Honestly, I have quit imaging systems. I have Duplicati on the Unraid server doing misc. backup jobs, such as important docs and pictures to a amazon s3 bucket, important docs also go to a physical local drive it controls, and done. Between a decently setup pfsense firewall and machines in the house...

Re: is Buy American really possible ?
No, it's not OK, but as long as people insist on cheap things, it will happen. Soon as folk think about others, then it might change, but most wont change their viewpoint until it affects them in a obvious way. Even then, denial is strong and frankly, a lot of people are just not self aware enough.

Luck of the draw it seems. I have used the same cheapy black model you posted for 5-6 years at least with no issue.

Re: Vacuum Sealer
You dont haaaave to, but sometimes when the meat is very wet, when you seal it, the juice gets sucked all the way to the little removable trench you tuck the bag end into, so I tend to pat dry whatever I am sealing for freezing.

Re: Vacuum Sealer
I've been using one for years. Definitely just buy the generic bag rolls to save a few bucks, and cut to size. Make sure whatever your saving is as dry as possible, as it makes sealing easier and quicker. That's about it. Can use it to sous vide once whatever it is defrosts, or vacuum pack the item ...

Re: SnowRunner released on Epic store
You've really gotten into it. I play in very short spurts. it's fun for 30 minutes at a go, but after that I start getting bored. Little too slow for me overall.

Re: SnowRunner released on Epic store
I've just been exploring in the scout freebie so far. Have most of the map open, just 1 watchtower left and a few odd hard to get to corners. I'll start working on repair tasks after that.

Re: SnowRunner released on Epic store
The Paystar is a workhorse, but scouting, not so much. Mainly because some areas the mud will get it stuck. Trust me, I tried for an hour to get it out. Also tight tree collisions get wonky. I had a ghost tree flip me over once. The Marshall is really good as a scout, but it is very top heavy, so ca...

Re: SnowRunner released on Epic store
OK, so little tip, the bottom right corner of the map after the bridge, near the garage, is mud. If you stop to admire the view, your default pickup WILL sink and get stuck. That said, I used music. Couldnt focus on a podcast/audiobook, but am also coming to grips with the slippery slidey mud. You c...
