So you're saying that if you click on a link it doesn't do anything? That's strange. Anything lead up to this? Did you install anything or play around with settings? Is this WinXP or did you upgrade this system to IE6? If it's an upgrade there should be an uninstall option for IE6 in the Add/Remove ...

Some reports of improved performance and gameplay have been posted over at MajorGeeks.

I haven't tried it yet but I sure hope this patch fixes some of my major gripes. I'd LIKE to enjoy this game but every time I play it's a major aggravation.

Absolute - you can't get a store card until you have established credit with one of the big boys. Get a Visa or Mastercard then the stores will love you.

Although frankly I see no point in the store cards - one good credit card is all you need.

I have 2 - one Amex Cash-back which I use for all online purchases. Amex has a security department made up of rabid wolves - whenever someone's tried to screw me I've released the hounds of war and gotten great satisfaction. I highly recommend Amex for online purchases because they really look out f...

I think all you're worried about is being able to leave the computer running as a file server without a mouse or keyboard connected to it right? Unless it's a retail system (Compaq, Dell, HP, etc) there should be a setting in BIOS to disable boot errors. It's usually on the "Standard" sett...

A Family's Love Turns to Grief on an Alabama Road SIX MILE, Ala., Nov. 23 — There is fate. There is tragedy. And then there is love. Highway 25, a ribbon of leaf-scattered asphalt in rural Alabama, connects them all. It connects two women, steaming toward each other from opposite ends of the county...

If the CD-Rom is recognized by BIOS, and you have it set up properly, you should be able to boot from the Windows installation CD.

Well if the modem is a PC card it should be two seperate issues. I'd pull the modem card until you get the sound working then deal with the modem later. Instead of using the sound driver from ESS I would go to the lappy manufacturer's website and get their driver. Laptop hardware is usually rather p...

Some suggestions: - Make sure that the sound card and the modem are enabled in the BIOS menu. Many lappies use one chip for both the sound and the modem and they can both be independently disabled in BIOS. - You sure you're using Win95 compatible drivers? Some Win98 drivers won't work with Win95. - ...

Gator Bait!!!

I just got into radio control sailboats - a bit more leisurely playtime than my model planes. ANYWAY a client of mine also just got into it and took his out for a couple of weeks ago AND A FRIGGIN' ALLIGATOR GRABBED IT! 95% of all the lakes around here (Central Florida) have gators. Makes water spor...
