After formatting, I lost at least one good program that I paid for (ACDSee32) and am now using a trial version. I know I'm not the first person to lose programs like that during a format (or a new PC/HD installed) so does anyone know if the company is likely to just give me my program back or will I...

After having to format my HD, I no longer have my registry tweaked for my cable modem (which seemed to help) nor do I have my old IE5 bookmarks anymore either. I saved my old C-drive program files but I don't see where my bookmarks were, lost fowever I presume :( . Anyway, does anyone here remember ...

There's a nifty hardware monitor program that comes with new Abit mobos and monitors temps, fan speeds, and something called system and cpu hysteresis low. Anyone know what that means exactly? My new T-bird at default settings is running cooler than my OCd celerons did and if I check the boxes for t...

Fixed
Try going into the bios and setting the bootup order to floppy, then HDD 0 (instead of 1) or just HDD 0 (then cd rom) if you don't need to boot off the floppy. Also look closely at which plug on the mobo is IDE1 as it's the opposite as what it was on my BH6. Set everything else in the bios at defaul...

It's highly advised to start with a formatted HD and clean install of the OS. I tryed without doing that at first and it fatal errored big time, had to re-partition and format, re-install everything. I'm gaining but it's still unstable. Can't install games because it locks up during install yet play...

Fixed! :)
Fixed it :D . It was my fault in assuming that the blue IDE RAID HD plugs were optional, they aren't. After carefully re-reading the mobo wiring section (plus info on it mentioning it elsewhere), it turns out the the IDE HDs must be plugged into their included blue plug ribbon, then plugged into the...

Maybe fixed?
After carefully examining all my bios settings and making a few changes, I now have both HDs and sound too .
Now to re-install my games lost during the format.
