Well, you and I disagree on this issue. That's fine. Having been through school systems in Washington State and California I can tell you there is no difference.

I am a firm believer that we don't focus enough money/attention on our schools.

The illegals I've met, while not always knowing english, have never been rude to me about not knowing spanish. They've never asked me to translate it into spanish. There are several businesses that employ thousands of people here that deal with legalizing the immigrants. Many of them don't understan...

How can they learn the language without anybody teaching it to them? All ESL classes around here (near San Diego) have like 2-4 year waiting lists. Not to mention they cost more money than most of these guys earn. I don't believe they don't want to learn the language. Not like they can just do it in...
