If you can't access it, how do you low level format it then? I guess you could maybe see if maxtor has a utility boot disk that will do a self test, then usually those self tests will attempt to repair the drive.. If the utility disk can't repair the drive, then they usually give you a number and a ...

I haven't had any problems personally with my KT7-RAID, and I know of alot of others running the KT7-RAID with no problems at all either. In my oppinion it is a rock solid board, and couldn't be any happier with it.

BH6 is pretty old, and a 133 MHz. bus on a BH6 is pushing it... I did have a celermine running at 850 on my old bh6 at a 100 Mhz. bus though... If your ram can handle 133 MHz., and you have a video card that can handle the 89 MHz. agp bus, you have a chance, but you would have a much nicer ch...

Here is the best way to burn in a CPU

12+ hours of prime95
THEN
12+ hours of UNREAL (not UT) at a high resolution in software mode looping over and over

If it doesn't crash through any of that, consider your system pretty rock solid.

2x2 lod bias (level of detail) will give you the best image quality, but will hurt performance the most. If the game play is smooth to you at 2x2 lod bias, by all means play it at that... Most likely in most games it will be to choppy.. Try out each setting, and which ever setting seems to be most p...

3dmark is nice and all, but not really a real world application.. Yes i know it tests direct3d performance, but what i consider realworld is something that you actually play. For OPENGL i recommend the usual q3a and MDK2. I am stuck on what to use for D3D, I suppose 3dmark works, but I like benching...

Definately go with the NIC, USB modems mostlikely use up more CPU resources, and probably buggy as well. For sharing the internet connection, the best way to go is get a HUB and additional IP's for each computer. Depending on where you live, prices will vary for each IP. If you don't wanna pay the e...
