If you don't like to have Windows updates forced upon your computer and would like to be able to pause them longer than the 5 week maximum that Windows allows for, you can easily do so with a simple registry edit. My main is Win 25H2 but I had stripped out all of the garbage. Might have something to do with it, as I've not been able to recreate that problem. I also always set updates to be delayed.

I just tried this, as I'm building a new gaming rig and it works fine. The Windows install was unattended and when done, my account was created and it just sat there at the desktop.
