Technically, my PC isn't a Hewlett Packard. I just have Win XP Pro SP2 installed from my original HP Operating System CD. Why would it effect only my IPOD and not any other USB controlled device?

Well the HP Win XP disc says SP2 on it already. I updated all Microsoft Win XP drivers through Windows Update. I updated my BIOS and NVidia Chipset from my ASUS A8N32 SLI Mobo. If I go to get these drivers from HP, will it negate my present updates?
