"No it wasn't directed in your direction damien6.. it was for the guy selling them. I never do business with people like that." Oh, ok. My mistake, I just thought it was directed at me. :) Like I've said, the price is still pretty good regardlessly but when you go from "come on guys l...

"God, what a loser."

Pretty insightful/useless comment but wonder who it was directed at? (I know it was addressed in my direction!) :P

Didn't the price go up yet? I thought it was great idea at first, when they were linking it to "that" auction site, when one of them wanted to provide the service (at no profit) to see if he could get the great deal for himself as well as other members in a "group buy" thing. I'v...

Yeah, these are nice. I got them few weeks ago and it's pretty good (even better than the 2x IDE ones) but their documentation of scsi jumper sucks though.

"Damien6: I do a lot of OS installs myself professionally, and while it's gotten better, it's still a safer bet to have minimal hardware installed in either a new OS install or a mobo change." Like I've said, I never had that problem (ever) but if I did I'd probably take the cards out myse...

If what I suggested above doesn't work, try deleting all trace of the video drivers that's installed and go throught the reinstall process afterward. (that's if it's able to boot into the OS afterward) I pretty much agree w/ almost everything (FP) had said in the previous post except the part about ...

What chipset on the motherboard and which video card? I had a dickens of a problem w/the old Ali Aladdin V AGPset (on Asus P5A-B) and ATI Xpert 2000, while trying to install Win2K (Pro + Advance Server). It turns out Win2K will mistake the Xpert 2k for Rage Fury and the drivers that load will kill a...

People claims that it's possible to round the newer ATA66/100 cables and report no problems, where as, older cables was near impossible w/o exposing some wires. I screwed up about (6) older ATA66 cables and I just gave up. Maybe I just don't have the patience. Anyway, it is possible from what I hear...

AOL AIM does but I couldn't get it to work in Win2K. It works in all other Windows though. (Win9x/ME)

Personally, I like MS Messenger + Netmeeting due to availability of different language versions so it can be used w/relatives over seas whos' primary language is other than English.
