I got the car last night...WOW!
I'm sure i'll have more to say about it after I have driven more than 10 miles in it. For now all I can say is WOW!

will it be worth the money? I dunno. This is a review sample. Greg: either a dead heat or just faster, you are correct. P4 3.2 Extreme Edition - Initial Results
Just dropped the P4 EE review sample in my box. Haven't tweaked anything yet (on the CPU) so I don't know about overclocking. I will say that the chip runs 1-2C cooler than a P4 3.2C and in theory the extra L3 cache should help in that area. Anyway, 1st pass initial results: * Sandra Max3 CPU Multi-...

tweaking wireless through-put (I think...)
anyone know anything about tweaking wireless through-put? I just got a centrino laptop and I brought it home to get all my goodies from my home network (trillian, sys tools, partition magic, ghost, etc...) but in transferring the files, I can only seem to get about 46% utilization on the wireless (8...

Newegg wont pricematch for you? Here in LA there is a place called DigiComp International that will pricematch anything for up to 2 weeks and can generally get anything you want in 24-48 hours. I usually research online and then just call them. I dont mind paying sales tax if im not paying for shipp...

I was an NV fan for YEARS...but I'm more a fan of performance and quality than I am of the brand. It seems that the brand was getting in the way of kme actually paying attention to the poor quality and slower speeds of the NV cards. Funny, it was the heat / cooling of the 5800/5900 NV cards that ope...

According to Intel at the IDF the BTX is far superior in heat management than the ATX we all know and love. So much so that the reference design uses passive cooling on the CPU. I wonder how the BTX and the new P4 EE will match up. With all that extra L3 cache on die, I assume the chip would have ho...
