Somone gave me the tip to dust it out a couple days ago and ya that did lower it from the like 57 it was at, but I'd liek to thank you all for your help. WIth proper case circulation and reapllying my thermal grease I was able to get the temp down to 44 at load and 41ish at idle thanks guys!

I'm not overclocking and the board i am using is the Gigabyte 7dxe I think. I'm checking the temp through the bios and through some software(easy tune). The software temp is usually about 4 degrees lower than the bios temp which is scary. Considering when my software temp says 55 its really 59 :X Fo...

K i can't get my cpu to run under like 51C idle and 55C load. It's an AMD xp 1700 and I'm about ready to give up :( I got a new heatsink and fan combo brand: Dr.Thermal.
