Aopen AK79D 400 MAX vs. Abit NF7-S

Which is the better board here? I'm leaning toward the Abit board. Everything I read has been positive. I don't know much about Aopen or their products though. Both are about the same price.

Any thoughts?

Thanks.

Edit: Dug up a little info on Aopen. Click.

I would have to say Power Supply. A video card would seem to be more difficult to develop and manufacture and when you consider all the games they allow you to play (How much is a Gamecube, PS2, X-Box? Yeah.) and the features they have packed in them. It seems like a bargin when you can pick up a qu...

Foxconn is okay, but doesn't compare to Antec (about the same as Allied). Directron.com is probably one of the best places to order a case from. Most of their cases include a PSU and you can usually upgrade to a better one for a reasonable price. It think this is the same case you're looking at: ht...

I know Leadtek and Asus make a TV/Radio cards that fit in a PCI slot for around $50 or so. I don't know of any that fit the 3.5 bays though.

Whoa, I was thinking of switching over from the Gigabyte GA-7N400-L1 board to the Abit NF7-S ver.2.0 after reading up on it last night. It seemed to have a lot of nice features and was reasonably priced considering all the extras. The Asus Deluxe was much more expensive. Both have UGLY PCB boards th...

The Allied PSU was $40 or so at the local Computer shop, Newegg has it for around $30. Originally I was looking at the Antec True Power 430w which was $80. Everyone tells me Antec is quality, so that is what I went for at first. These PSU's seem so overpriced though. I saw an Energymax(sp?) 430w PSU...

Opinion on: Raidmax Scorpio Case w/420W Turbolink PS

Hey guys, I was looking around for a good PC case and saw this Raidmax Scorpio while shopping around. I was thinking of getting an Antec Plusview 1000AMG tower and a Antec 400w PSU. Together the 1000AMG case and psu was a little over $120 (round figures, probably more with S&H). A nice combo I t...

Naw, nobody is selling me any chips. Just wanted to see what the genreal consensus was. My cousin suggested the P4 @2.4 and another friend suggested the 3000Xp. At a $150 difference, I wanted a 3rd opinion (or five or six!). These are also the type of guys who only buy the latest/fastest video cards...

Athlon 2500XP vs. 3000XP: Hype or Not?

Ok, so I'm planning on building a new computer , started out at first with a 2500XP chip then bumped it up to 2800XP for a little more power. But reconsidered and brought it back down to 2500XP after I was told by a few people the increase wasn't that great and not worth the price. Talking to a comp...
