Failing fan on 4200ti

This is a right bummer but I have to kinda flick start the fan on the heat sink every time I have to reboot, it does not move when I switch on only works with a bit of a push, can I get this replaced? maybe a better fan? The card is a Gainward and I do tend to leave the PC on more or less 24-7

you could always download the "merciless" pack, this cuts out the intro plus it's a very good mod, but I have been told of it really slowing perfomance on cracked games.

All sorted, had to remove the fan to bend the center of the long bar holding the clips. And now it does what it says on the tin! 42 with case open 46-48 with case closed.


Very happy indeed :D

using xp2100 on gigabyte GA-7VAXP and 1gig of pc2700

I am using a thin layer of Arctic silver, all catches are ok old heat sink just used one catch, and using fan on high setting. the clips just look a little low.

a little help

I got problems with mine can anyone help? Not sure if it is tight enough sitting on the cpu as the temp goes up at a steady rate into the 70s!!! The pc will only boot when it is lay flat if I stand the tower up right pc turns off after a few seconds. any idea's, should I try bending the clips to pul...
